African geranium

Family: Geraniaceae

Medical use: Bronchitis, Pharyngitis (throat and lung inflamations), other respiratory infections.

Parts: Dry grinded roots

Side effects:
  • May cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastrointestinal problems like damage of intestinal flora, also sleep problems, eruption, allergic sensibilitys.
  • Bronchitis patients can recive vomit, aglutition (swallowing difficulty), thick sight, low blood suger and other disorders.
  • Rarely causes toxicity by liver.
Drug interaction:
  • with anticoagulant agents can increase risk of bleeding.
  • Decreases effect of immunosupprresants.
  • Because of bleeding risk it doesnt recomended to use with ginkgo, ginseng, garlic, ginger, curcuma and plants with similar effect.
Warnings:
  • Dont use under 6 age.
  • Highly recommended of using under fully doctor control..

How to Use:

Internaly:

Over 12 age

Liquid extract (1:9, %11 ethanol): 3 Times 1.25 ml a day.

Dry extract(4-25:1, %11 ethanol): 3 Times 20mg a day.

6-12 age:

Liquid extract (1:9, %11 ethanol): 3 Times 0.8 ml a day.

Dry extract(4-25:1, %11 ethanol): 2 Times 20mg a day.

On the recommendation of his doctor, C. H. Stevens travelled in 1897 to South Africa hoping cure his tuberculosis. He returned to England taking with him roots of the South African pelargonium. He has produced a medicine from dust of roots and sold it in England and then across Europe as a cure for tuberculosis.

Content: oligomeric and polimeric proantosianidins, epigaleocatocal, galeocatocal and catocal componsits, umcalins, coumarins, gallic and fenolik acids, scopolin, scopoletin, flavonoids, fitosterols, carbonhydrates, minerals

Blood Cleaner

Nettel (Urtica dioica) 50g

Aloe Vera 50g

Tea: 2g dry nettel, add 150ml boiled water, brew 10min, filter, let it cool a litle, mix a turkish tea spoon (2.5ml)  aloe vera juice in it. Drink fresh two times a day, a week long. Can be sweeten with little honey.
